Many works by Giovanni Giuseppe Piccini, a brilliant sculptor from Nona, have reached us thanks to delicate restoration work, which today allows us to admire them in all their splendor.
Therefore, as part of the initiatives dedicated to Piccini's tercentenary, to introduce participants to the complexities of a discipline as fascinating as it is demanding, the Vilminore Civic Library is organizing a workshop on wood restoration techniques and gilding restoration (on a small object in the possession of each participant). Giampiero Magri, a restorer with decades of experience, will accompany this journey.
The workshop will be held in the Courthouse at number 2 in Piazza Giustizia, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday 2nd and 9th, Thursday 14th and Saturday 16th August.
